The Model 1886 created by John Moses Browning was among the very first successful lever action rifles and was produced from 1887 to 1935 by Winchester. This modern day reproduction is faithful to the original except for the modern metallurgy and manufacturing to exact tolerances to assure interchangeability of part. The 1:18 twist rate is suited to modern production ammo. It features a case hardened receiver, 26 octagonal barrel, and a walnut stock. If you are a serious lever action hunter, this is the rifle capable of dropping any big game on the North American continent in their tracks.
